Cancellation Policy for Private Hire – Jersey Bus Tours
At Jersey Bus Tours, we understand that plans can change. However, to ensure the smooth operation of our services and to cover costs incurred in preparing for your event, we have the following cancellation policy for all private hire bookings:
Booking Deposit
A £50 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking.
This deposit must be paid within 2-3 days of receiving your booking confirmation to guarantee your reservation.
The deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances, as it covers initial administrative and scheduling costs.
Final Balance Payment
The remaining balance for your private hire must be paid in full no later than one month (30 days) prior to your event date.
Failure to pay the balance by this deadline may result in the cancellation of your booking, with the £50 deposit retained by Jersey Bus Tours.
Cancellation by the Client
Cancellations must be submitted in writing (via email to info@jerseybustours.com. The date of receipt of your written notice will determine the applicable cancellation terms:
More than 30 days before the event: If you cancel more than 30 days prior to your event, the £50 deposit is non-refundable, but any additional payments made (beyond the deposit) will be refunded in full within 10 business days.
30 days or less before the event: If you cancel within 30 days of your event, no refunds will be issued for the deposit or the final balance, as we will have committed resources, staff, and vehicle preparation to your booking.
No-shows: Failure to use the service on the scheduled date without prior notice will result in no refund of any payments made.
Modifications to Booking
If you wish to modify your booking (e.g., change the date, time, or route), please contact us as soon as possible. Modifications are subject to availability and may incur additional fees. We will do our best to accommodate your request but cannot guarantee changes within 30 days of the event.
Cancellations by Jersey Bus Tours
In the rare event that we must cancel your booking due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., vehicle breakdown, extreme weather, or other factors beyond our control), we will:
Notify you as soon as possible.
Offer a full refund of all payments made (including the deposit) or work with you to reschedule your event at no additional cost, subject to availability.
Jersey Bus Tours is not liable for any additional costs or losses incurred by the client due to a cancellation by us (e.g., venue fees, catering, etc.).

DAMAGE DEPOSITS
All bookings for Jersey Party Bus and Private hire will be subject to a £150 damage deposit, which must be paid at the time of booking.
Any damage deposits paid will be processed after the event, up to 10 business days after we have received your bank details, provided the terms of the hire have be followed and no damage to the coaches has occurred.
Failure to provide your details within 3 months of the event taking place will result in the loss of your damage deposit.
